OJ-Bio Ltd is a joint venture, established in November 2009, between Orla Protein Technologies Ltd (Orla) and leading Japanese electronics and communications company Japan Radio Company Ltd (JRC).  Oj-Bio has developed a unique diagnostic device and biochip platform that allows the rapid measurement of disease markers, electronic storage, and wireless transmission of results.  They are ideally suited to meet the needs for low-cost disposable measurement devices in healthcare, and in particular near patient testing. OJ-Bio is now seeking marketing/development partners to take these products to market.

Business Model

OJ-Bio is developing alliances with diagnostic, wireless health, pharmaceutical companies.  We are seeking to license/partner the technology in discrete fields of interest.  OJ-Bio can provide the level of support required by licensee including;

  • Intellectual Property coverage
  • Technology
  • Product development to clinical trial stage
  • Biochip facilities for manufacture of trial batches and process optimisation
  • Manufacture of full device if required
